Langford Reef and Black Island are two of the most beautiful locations in the Whitsundays. Nestled between Hayman Island and Hook Island these two tropical wonderlands offer a great day trip for adventurous guests. Take advantage of the full range of activities offered – including paddleboards, sailing, swimming, snorkelling, or enjoy a short stroll up to Langford Lookout, be as active as you like. Or take time to relax and enjoy the area’s natural beauty.
Get involved, take the helm, hoist the sails of one of Australia’s most famous racing yachts.
Relax on the huge blue deck cushions or the shaded saloon area (ideal for families). Sail for just over 2 hours to the islands and back to Coral Seas Marina. You’ll have up to 4 hours on the beach or in the water.

Itinerary
Airlie Beach Pickups and Courtesy Bus Transfers. Between 7:55am and 8:25am we will send a bus to pick you up from your local accommodation, and transfer you to Abell Point Marina to meet the Southern Cross crew for a 9am departure. Don’t forget to grab that early morning coffee before pickup!
Sail straight to the Northern end of the Whitsundays on Southern Cross, experiencing an exhilarating beam reach (ideal sailing angle). Southern Cross is a true racing legend, being but for the America’s Cup.
You’ll have up to 4 hours on the beach or in the water to enjoy the Northern end of the Whitsundays. Then set sail for Coral Sea Marina to arrive back at 5pm.
Today, while Southern Cross still holds the spirit of a racing yacht, considerable modifications have been made to make it comfortable for guests, with features such as a shaded cockpit, comfortable cushioned deck area, downstairs lounge area and guest bathroom.
